| 备注 |
Suriname redenominated its currency on 1 January 2004, replacing the Surinamese guilder at a rate of 1000:1 — effectively stripping three zeros and reissuing as the Surinamese dollar. This P#160 was part of that inaugural dollar series, meaning notes entered circulation on the very day the old currency ceased to be legal tender. The transition was administratively abrupt; the central bank had to manage a near-simultaneous withdrawal of guilder notes while introducing an entirely unfamiliar denomination structure to the public.
Canadian Bank Note Company has produced Surinamese currency since the dollar series launch, handling both intaglio and offset work from their Ottawa facility.
