| Obverse description | Struck in high relief, the obverse features the right-facing diademed and draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, as modelled by Arnold Machin. The Queen wears a tiara and light drapery at the shoulder, with finely engraved hair detail. The circumferential legend reads 'EAST CARIBBEAN STATES · QUEEN ELIZABETH II', disposed around the effigy within a plain field. The portrait is the standard second-generation Machin effigy used widely on Commonwealth coinage of the period. |
