| 正面描述 | A vignette of a red-capped cardinal perched on a branch occupies the left portion of the note, set against a light guilloche underprint. The national arms of Trinidad and Tobago are centered, flanked by a commemorative circular inscription marking 50 years of independence 1962–2012. A holographic patch appears at the right, and the serial number is printed in blue at lower left and upper right. |

| 备注 |
The 2012 issue marks the fiftieth anniversary of Trinidad and Tobago's independence from Britain, achieved on 31 August 1962. De La Rue printed the commemorative series at their Loughton facility, and the $50 denomination was part of a broader jubilee release rather than a routine currency replacement — the standard polymer $50 was already in circulation alongside it.
P#53 is a paper issue, notable given that Trinidad and Tobago had been migrating portions of its circulating currency to polymer substrate during this period.
