Hutt River Province was a self-declared micronation in Western Australia, established in 1970 when wheat farmer Leonard Casley seceded from Australia in a dispute over wheat production quotas. By the 1990s, the province had developed a substantial numismatic program — partly as a revenue stream, partly as an exercise in sovereign theater. This piece is among the heavier bullion issues from that program, nominally legal tender within a territory Australia never officially recognized.

Supersaurus was described from specimens excavated in Colorado's Morrison Formation, with its existence as a distinct genus confirmed only in 1985 — making this a relatively timely issue for paleontological subject matter.
