| Obverse description | Portrait vignette of Georgios Stavros set within an oval guilloche frame at left, printed in dark intaglio on a light guilloche underprint. The original issuer title ΕΘΝΙΚΗ ΤΡΑΠΕΖΑ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ appears in the upper centre, overprinted diagonally in red with the new bank name ΤΡΑΠΕΖΑ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ and an additional red circular overprint. Denomination numeral 50 appears in a central guilloche cartouche, with serial number and series letter printed in red flanking it, and three manuscript signatures below the date inscription ΑΘΗΝΗΣΙ ΤΗ. 6 ΜΑΪΟΥ 1923. |
