| Obverse description | The coat of arms of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic occupies the central field, depicting a double-headed eagle with spread wings surmounted by a royal crown, superimposed over a radiant sunburst. The eagle's breast is charged with a shield bearing a depiction of the Gandzasar Monastery and a traditional Armenian stepped ornament. Flanking the base of the arms are sprigs of wheat to the left and a grape cluster with vine leaves to the right, symbols of the region's agricultural heritage. The legend 'NAGORNO-KARABAKH' arcs along the upper rim in Latin script, with the Armenian inscriptions 'ԼԵՌՆԱՅԻՆ ՂԱՐԱԲԱՂԻ ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏՈՒԹՅՈՒՆ' and 'ԱՐՑԱԽ' appearing on a banner across the upper portion of the arms, and 'REPUBLIC' inscribed along the lower rim. |

| Reverse description | A panoramic view of the Gandzasar Monastery complex is depicted in the central field, rendered as a detailed landscape vignette showing the monastery's characteristic Armenian medieval architecture, including its domed cathedral with a conical roof and arched gateways set upon a rocky hillside. To the right of the monastery, an ornate khachkar-style memorial column surmounted by a cross rises prominently in the field. The denomination '50 DRAM' is inscribed in Latin characters along the upper portion of the field, and the date '2020' appears in the lower field beneath the central design. |
