| Obverse description | Printed in purple-violet on a pale ground, the obverse is divided into two distinct zones by a vertical guilloche border. The left panel contains an elaborate cartouche with the denomination numeral '50' rendered in large interlaced script, flanked by the value inscribed in six languages within ornamental frames, with the circular Czechoslovak state seal at the lower centre. The right panel presents a central intaglio vignette of a seated female figure in traditional dress with a castle fortress in the background, framed by a fine guilloche border with wheat sheaves at the right margin; the legends 'REPUBLIKA' and 'ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ' appear in the upper and lower horizontal banners respectively. |
