正面描述 At left, an intaglio vignette of two young women in traditional Slovak folk costume, one holding a sheaf of wheat, rendered in a refined Art Deco style against an ornate guilloche border. The central panel bears the denomination legend PÄŤDESIAT KORÚN SLOVENSKÝCH within a decorative cartouche, flanked by the Slovak double-cross emblem as an underprint, with the issuing authority SLOVENSKÁ NÁRODNÁ BANKA V BRATISLAVE and the date V Bratislave dňa 15. októbra 1940 inscribed below. At right, a serial number panel with numeral 50 appears twice within guilloche frames, accompanied by two manuscript signatures above the titles GUVERNÉR and RIADITEĽ.

备注

Slovakia's 1939 declaration of independence — under heavy German pressure — created an immediate need for a distinct currency separate from the dissolving Czechoslovak system. Giesecke & Devrient in Leipzig handled the early Slovak issues almost by default, as the new state had no domestic printing infrastructure capable of producing secured banknotes. The relationship reflected the broader political dependency of the Slovak client state on Berlin.

Aurel Kailich, the note's designer, was a Slovak artist whose work appears across several issues of this short-lived series. The watermark is the sole security feature — modest even by wartime standards.
