| Obverse description | The obverse of this rectangular silver bar-coin features a polished silver field bearing the Malawian coat of arms at center-bottom, flanked by the divided date '20 11' and the denomination '50 KWACHA' with 'REPUBLIC OF MALAWI' inscribed below.
