Opmerkingen

Namibia's fifth series of banknotes, introduced from 2021 onward, was developed in part to counter increasingly sophisticated counterfeiting of the earlier issues. The 2025-dated 50 Dollar note continues that series. De La Rue has printed Namibian currency since independence in 1993, an unbroken relationship now entering its fourth decade.

P#22 is the catalog reference for this denomination within the fifth series. The optically variable ink on this issue shifts between two distinct colors under oblique light — a specification upgrade from the simpler color-shift features on the fourth-series notes.
