| 备注 |
Montenegro printed its own currency at Cetinje under extraordinary pressure in the summer of 1914, just as the kingdom entered the First World War alongside Serbia. The Glavna Državna Blagajna — a treasury office rather than a central bank — was responsible for issuance, which speaks to the improvised nature of the wartime monetary apparatus. The 50 Perpera is the highest denomination in this emergency series, and the domestic printing origin is unusual for a Balkan state of this period; most comparable issues were contracted to Vienna, London, or Paris.
Montenegro's occupation by Austro-Hungarian forces in early 1916 effectively ended circulation. Notes that survived did so largely outside the country.
