| Obverse description | Printed in black on buff paper, the note carries an ornate engraved border of floral and scroll motifs at each corner, with a vertical cartouche along the left edge inscribed "ESTADO DE HONDURAS" in decorative script. A central circular vignette is surrounded by the legend "POR EL DECRETO DE LAS CAMARAS LEJISLATIVAS" and bears the denomination "VALE. Cincuenta pesos" at its centre, with the date "3 DE SETIEMBRE DE 1848" along the lower arc. A large black wax seal is affixed to the right of the vignette, and three manuscript signature lines at the base are reserved for "El Director de rentas", "El Contador mayor", and "El tesorero jeneral". |
