| 备注 |
The Administración de Hacienda y Crédito operated as Colombia's treasury authority during a turbulent period of fiscal reorganization following independence-era debt and the dismantling of earlier monetary structures. By 1853, the national government was attempting to consolidate paper obligations under more formal treasury instruments — this 50 Pesos note belongs to that effort, though the series saw limited acceptance in a country where regional commercial houses and foreign coin dominated everyday exchange.
PS#159 designation places it within the specialized Colombian fiscal paper catalogued by Pick's South American supplement. Surviving examples are rare, as most treasury paper of this period was either redeemed under subsequent administrations or simply lost to Colombia's chronic archival instability in the second half of the nineteenth century.
