Beschrijving keerzijde A multicolour intaglio vignette at centre illustrates a traditional coffee harvest scene, with several figures — men and women — picking and gathering coffee berries among lush trees, rendered in warm earth tones. Ornate guilloche borders in orange-red frame the vignette on all sides, interspersed with Mayan-style decorative cartouches at the lateral margins. The denomination numeral '50' appears in guilloche roundels at each corner, with the bank title across the top and denomination legend below the central vignette.

Opmerkingen

Thomas De La Rue had printed Guatemalan currency for decades by the time this note went into production, and the relationship showed in the consistency of the series. The 50 Quetzal denomination was the workhorse of mid-range commerce in 1990s Guatemala — large enough to matter, small enough to circulate freely — and these notes absorbed considerable use.

P#94 runs through several date varieties within the series; authentication of the specific issue date on any given example is worth confirming against the signature combination, as the Banco de Guatemala rotated officials through this period.
