Transnistria's 1994 rouble series was issued by a bank representing a state that no internationally recognized government acknowledges. The Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic declared independence from Moldova in 1990, and the subsequent armed conflict in 1992 left it in a permanent political limbo — functioning administratively but unrecognized, with its own currency filling the gap left by the collapsing Soviet rouble.

The "Printed: 30.04.1945" field almost certainly reflects a misattributed or erroneous metadata entry rather than an actual print date — the issuing bank did not exist until 1992.
