The State Emblem of Ceylon — a lion passant within a circular border — is positioned to the left as the principal vignette, with Sinhala and Tamil script legends and the bank title in Sinhala at the top. The denomination in Sinhala script occupies the central panel, flanked by ornate intaglio border work, with two manuscript signatures of bank officials and the issue date below the central text. |
