Not a historical artifact but a modern fantasy piece — the "50 Sestertius Scipio Africanus" is a privately produced novelty banknote with no issuing authority, no legal tender status, and no connection to the Roman monetary system or any legitimate numismatic body. The sestertius was a bronze coin denomination, never a paper currency; Rome had no paper money. The watermark is decorative, not regulatory.
