| 备注 |
Tanzania's 1992 series marked a significant visual and institutional reset following the country's slow retreat from Nyerere-era ujamaa economic policy. The shift toward a more market-oriented framework through the late 1980s and early 1990s brought with it a renegotiated relationship with international financial institutions, and the banknote series issued in this period reflects that transitional moment — funded in part through IMF structural adjustment conditions that required Tanzania to liberalize its foreign exchange regime.
Thomas De La Rue had printed Tanzanian currency since independence, giving the series a continuity of production quality even as the political backdrop shifted considerably. The P#19 watermark security remained modest by contemporary standards.
