50 Vatu Volcano

Vanuatu sits atop one of the most volcanically active zones on the Pacific Ring of Fire, and the archipelago's most famous active crater, Yasur on Tanna Island, has been in near-continuous eruption for at least 800 years — one of the longest documented active eruptions on earth. The Reserve Bank has issued collector silver in this weight class before, but the 50 Vatu denomination itself has no meaningful circulation history at this mass; it exists purely as a legal-tender vehicle for the bullion and numismatic export market.
