| Reverse description | A large, highly detailed and naturalistically rendered bunch of bananas with radiating leaves is depicted centrally, occupying the majority of the field and shown as if viewed from above. The denomination legend CINQ CENTS FRANCS arcs along the upper periphery, with the numeral 500 positioned in the lower exergual area. To the lower left of the central motif appears a rectangular privy mark or logo containing the date 2002 and a ring of stars, associated with the Monnaie de Paris. The outer border repeats the same sawtooth or zigzag decorative pattern as the obverse. |
