Beschrijving voorzijde Intricate guilloche border frames the entire note, with the denomination '500' repeated in each corner. At upper centre, the bank title 'Christianstads Enskilda Bank' is rendered in ornate Gothic lettering, with the text 'inlöser vid anfordran denna sedel med' above a central cartouche bearing 'FEM HUNDRA KRONOR' in bold intaglio. To the left, a portrait vignette of a nobleman in period dress with ruffled collar occupies a dark oval frame, while to the right a crowned royal cipher device appears within an elaborate scrollwork vignette; 'Christianstad 1875.' is inscribed at centre below the denomination cartouche.

Opmerkingen

Christianstads Enskilda Bank was one of Sweden's provincial private banks operating under the 1824 and 1864 banking acts, which permitted chartered enskilda banks to issue their own notes — a right that survived until the Riksbank gradually absorbed note-issuing privileges through the 1890s and early 1900s. A 500 kronor denomination from a regional issuer in 1875 was a substantial instrument, far beyond everyday retail circulation, and would have moved almost exclusively between merchants and larger commercial houses in and around Kristianstad in Skåne.

Surviving examples from Swedish enskilda banks at this denomination are genuinely uncommon. Most were redeemed and pulped as the private note-issuing era closed out.
