| Opmerkingen |
The long signature run on this series reflects real institutional turbulence. Sweden's early 1990s banking crisis — triggered by a credit bubble and the 1992 collapse of the fixed exchange rate after Riksbanken spent roughly 160 billion kronor defending the peg — meant the Riksbank went through significant leadership changes mid-series. Bengt Dennis was the governor who ultimately let the krona float on 19 November 1992, effectively ending the fixed-rate regime the bank had bled reserves to protect.
Staffan Burenstam Linder's signature appearing from 1994 onward marks the post-crisis stabilization period. He died in office in 2000, the same year this series was retired.
