| Obverse description | Left-facing bust of President Saparmurat Niyazov, depicted in a plain suit with a naturalistic portrait style against a mirror-polished field. The circular legend is divided into two arcs: TÜRKMENISTANYÑ PREZIDENTI arcing across the upper field, and SAPARMYRAT NYYAZOW arcing across the lower field.
