The 2000-dated issues of this series were released without tactile marks for visually impaired users — an omission Banco de México corrected with the 2008 printing run, which added raised indicators at the upper right of the face. That revision is the primary distinguishing feature between the two date groups, and it generated a larger number of signature combinations than is typical for a single denomination over this period, as deputy governor pairings shifted while the series remained in production.

Five different subgovernor signatures appear against Raúl Sierra Otero's name on the 2000 dates alone. Guillermo Ortiz Martínez served as Governor of Banco de México from 1998 to 2010, making his name the most senior on the earlier printings.
