| Description de l’avers | Headed by the bold Cyrillic inscription «Государственный Банкъ» (State Bank), the note is identified as a Депозитная Металлическая Квитанция (Deposit Metallic Receipt) with the denomination «500» in an ornamental roundel at upper right. The body of the note carries a lengthy text in small letterpress Cyrillic script specifying the issuing offices and redemption terms in gold coin, with the date 1895 года and a cashier's signature line printed below; the serial number appears at lower right. An ОБРАЗЕЦЪ (Specimen) perforation is punched across the centre of the note. |

The ОБРАЗЕЦЪ (Specimen) perforation is repeated in mirror across the lower portion of the field. |
