| 背面描述 | Brown and orange symmetrical composition on a fine guilloche underprint of wave lines. A bold cross-shaped central vignette in dark brown and orange carries the numeral '500' at its centre, with 'PIECI SIMTI' above and 'LATVIJAS RUBĻU' below in serif lettering. Stylised scallop-shell ornaments are arranged at the four diagonal quadrants of the cross motif, and the numeral '500' is repeated in large outlined figures at the upper left and lower right corners. |

| 备注 |
Latvia's 1992 banknote series marked the restoration of the lats as the national currency after five decades of Soviet occupation — but the rublis was an intermediate step, a transitional currency used between 1992 and 1993 while the infrastructure for a fully independent monetary system was assembled. The 500 Rubļu was among the higher denominations of that short-lived series, which Giesecke & Devrient produced in Munich before the lats replaced it entirely in 1993.
Einars Repše, who signed this note as Governor, was the architect of Latvia's currency reform — arguably the most consequential central banker of the post-Soviet Baltic transition.
