Beschrijving voorzijde The national emblem of Mongolia, the Soyombo symbol, is depicted prominently in the left-center field, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished proof surface. To the right of the Soyombo, the country name appears in traditional Mongolian script (Todo script) arranged vertically. The Latin legend MONGOLIA runs along the right side of the field, and the denomination 500 is inscribed at the bottom center, with the Tögrög currency symbol below it. The coin is struck with a fine reeded border running along the inner edge of the rim.

Aanvullende informatie

Mongolia's 1990s wildlife silver program was issued partly in response to international conservation funding mechanisms of that decade, where sovereign commemorative coinage served as a vehicle for WWF and CITES-adjacent fundraising. Most pieces in the series saw primary distribution through European coin dealers rather than domestic circulation — very few ever reached Mongolian hands.
