| Obverse description | The national emblem of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is depicted centrally in the field, featuring the Paektu Mountain landscape beneath a five-pointed star with rays, flanked by sheaves of rice bound with a red ribbon at the base, and bearing the inscription of the state name in Hangul on a scroll within the design.
