| Obverse description | Intaglio portrait of Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, first President of Czechoslovakia, occupies the right half of the note, rendered in fine engraved detail with a guilloche underprint in blue and pink tones. To the left, the large numeral "5000" is set against a field of yellow dot microprinting, above a central vignette of a hexagonal iridescent security element and radiating guilloche rosette framed by floral motifs.
