Reverse description The central vignette presents a panoramic landscape view of the Yantra River valley near Veliko Tarnovo, with the historic monastery buildings visible in the foreground and rocky cliffs receding into the distance. A large circular guilloche rosette occupies the lower centre, flanked by ornate lathe-work panels bearing the numeral "5000" on each side within elaborate guilloche frames. The bank title "BANQUE NATIONALE DE BULGARIE" is inscribed in a decorative cartouche at the top, with the denomination in Cyrillic repeated in banderoles below the central vignette, and the printer's imprint "THOMAS DE LA RUE & COY. LTD. LONDRES, ANGLETERRE" appearing at the bottom margin.
