| Obverse description | Central portrait vignette of Chinggis Khaan (Temüjin, c. 1162–1227) at centre, flanked to the left by a Paiza (Gerege) — the imperial tablet of authority issued to Mongol officials and envoys — and to the right by the National Coat of Arms of Mongolia. Denomination numerals appear at left and right within an elaborate guilloche underprint, with Mongolian script legends across the upper and lower registers. The overall design is executed in intaglio with a multicolour letterpress underprint. |
