| Beschrijving voorzijde | Hammered billon flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend arranged across the field in bold, raised Naskh script. The inscription, occupying the entire face without a border, records the sovereign's titles and name in the characteristic dense calligraphic style of early Delhi Sultanate coinage. Letter strokes are robust and slightly irregular, consistent with hand-cut dies of the period. The flat, unadorned field surrounds the text with no decorative border or rim inscription. |

Shihab al-Din 'Umar, also known as Mubarak Khan, ruled the Delhi Sultanate for a matter of months in 1316 before being deposed and killed by Malik Kafur's faction amid the turbulent succession crisis following 'Ala al-Din Khalji's death. Coins issued in his name are accordingly scarce, and billon issues of this fractional denomination survive in small numbers.
