Obverse description Draped bust of Honoré II, Prince of Monaco, facing right, depicted in armor with a lace collar, set within a beaded inner circle. The portrait is rendered in a bold, slightly crude hammered style typical of 17th-century Italian-influenced coinage. The surrounding Latin legend reads HONORATVS II D G PRINC MONOECI, identifying the ruler by name and title. The legend is interrupted at the bust and distributed around the full circumference of the coin.

Reverse description Crowned shield bearing the arms of Monaco — a lozenge pattern of argent and gules (diamond shapes in silver and red) — centered within a beaded inner circle. The arms represent the Grimaldi family heraldic device. The Latin legend surrounding the shield reads MARC. CAMPANIAE. COM. CAN., citing the prince's additional titles as Marquis of Baux, Count of Campania and Carladès. The denomination VI (six gros) appears in the exergue below the shield, consistent with the coin's face value.
