The large numeral 6 appears prominently in the lower central field, with the word PENCE inscribed along the lower exergue. The legend SOUTHERN RHODESIA arcs around the periphery, reading from the lower left to lower right, flanking the crossed axes design. The initials KG, for engraver George Kruger Gray, appear discretely within the design. The overall composition is bold and heraldic in character. |
