| Reverse description | A vertical fasces — a bound bundle of rods with an axe head and Phrygian liberty cap mounted at the summit — dominates the central field, serving as the primary device. The fractional denomination 6 C. 1/4 is inscribed to either side of the fasces, with '6' to the left and 'C. 1/4' to the right. The Republican motto LIBERTE EGALITE is distributed around the periphery as a circular legend, with LIBERTE on the left and EGALITE on the right. The Haitian Republican year AN 43 appears in the lower exergual area beneath the fasces. A beaded border frames the entire composition. |
