| Obverse description | Green-tinted letterpress postal money order on white paper, headed 'ORANJE VRIJ STAAT / POST NOOT' in large type at upper centre; a rectangular vignette at upper left bears the arms of the Orange Free State with the subsidiary inscription 'COMMISSIE LOON / TWEE PENCE', while the denomination tablet '7/6' is set in a boxed cartouche at upper right.
