The Finlands Wäxel-Depositions och Låne-Bank was established in 1824 as the first proper bank of the Grand Duchy of Finland, operating under Russian imperial authority but administered locally in Finnish terms — including, notably, issuing notes denominated in kopecks and rubles rather than any legacy Swedish currency unit. By 1839, the bank held a monopoly on Finnish note issue, a position it would retain until the Bank of Finland absorbed its functions later in the century.
The 75-kopek denomination is an odd one, unlikely to survive in any quantity. Early Finnish paper currency from this period was printed in small runs and subject to periodic withdrawal and destruction.
