| Obverse description | The Chilean national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a divided escutcheon bearing a five-pointed star above horizontal stripes, supported on the dexter side by a rearing horse wearing a crown and on the sinister side by a crowned condor with spread wings. Above the shield rises a cluster of three ostrich feathers. The ensemble rests upon an ornamental foliate base. The encircling legend reads REPUBLICA DE CHILE, with the Santiago mint mark (So) to the right, and the date flanked by small stars appears in the lower exergual area. |
