| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse of the underlying host coin — a Spanish colonial milled-style or macuquina piece — displays the crowned hemispheres design typical of the Pillar dollar type, with two crowned globes flanked by the Pillars of Hercules. The date 1759 is partially legible in the lower exergual area, indicating the host coin was struck at a colonial Spanish mint during the reign of Ferdinand VI or Charles III. Surrounding legends are heavily worn and largely illegible as a consequence of the hammered cob technique and subsequent countermarking. |
