| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse of this cob displays the crowned Habsburg shield within a double quadrant cross, characteristic of Spanish colonial milled-style cob coinage. The quartered arms show castles and lions in the respective fields, with the cross extending to the flan edges in typical macuquina fashion. Partial legends in Latin are visible along the periphery where the irregular flan permits, though much of the surrounding inscription is lost to the crude hammered production method. The surface exhibits the heavily worn and porous texture typical of circulated silver cobs of this era, with natural die flow lines and hammer marks evident across the field. |
