| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with characteristic youthful features. The deity wears a wreath of laurel leaves tied with a long, braided taenia whose ends fall behind the neck. The hair is arranged in thick twisted locks, visible beneath and around the wreath. The portrait is modelled with delicate relief against a plain field, exhibiting the elegant craftsmanship associated with the Pergamene mint. |
