Obverse description Jugate busts of the Dioscuri (Castor and Pollux) facing left, each wearing a laureate or crested Corinthian helmet, rendered in low relief in the Hellenistic style characteristic of late Syracusan bronze coinage. The double portrait is set within a plain, slightly irregular round flan, with the busts occupying the majority of the obverse field. No legend is present on the obverse.
