| Obverse description | Epigraphic field bearing the sultan's name and titles in Arabic script, arranged in two lines across the flan. The legend reads 'Mustafa / ibn Muhammad Khan', identifying the issuing ruler as Sultan Mustafa I, son of Sultan Mehmed III. The lettering is rendered in a bold, fluid naskh-style hand characteristic of early seventeenth-century Ottoman hammered coinage. The irregular flan, typical of hand-struck akçes of this period, results in partial legend weakness at the periphery. No decorative border is present. |
