Andoco is one of several poorly-documented rulers of the Catuvellauni whose precise relationship to the dynastic line of Tasciovanus remains unresolved. He appears to have controlled a mint in the Trinovantian territory — an area nominally belonging to a separate tribe — suggesting either political absorption or a contested border zone during the volatile decades before the Claudian invasion.
