| 背面描述 | Central field bearing a three-line Arabic inscription identifying the mint and date of issue, arranged within a crescent-shaped cartouche with beaded border. The legend reads 'ضرب في جزاير ١٢٤٥' (Struck in Algiers, year 1245 AH). The surrounding field is adorned with a wreath of stylized leaf and floral ornaments interspersed with star devices, mirroring the decorative programme of the obverse and consistent with hammered coinage of the Algerian Regency period. |

The 1830 date makes this among the last coins struck under Ottoman suzerainty before the French invasion of June that year ended the Regency permanently. Algeria's bey had already been warned of the impending expedition, yet the Algiers mint continued operations almost until the fleet arrived. France's stated pretext was a diplomatic insult over a fly-whisk — the so-called affaire de l'éventail — though unpaid debts from Napoleonic-era grain contracts were the deeper irritant.
