Obverse description Bare head of Apollo in right profile, laureate, with long flowing hair rendered in parallel incised locks falling behind the neck. The effigy is rendered in a restrained Hellenistic style characteristic of late second-century BC Ionian coinage. The facial features are finely modelled with a straight nose and well-defined jaw. The field is plain, with no legend on this face of the coin.
