| Popis rubu | Central field displays a facing royal bust, diademed and draped, rendered in the bold schematic style typical of late Aksumite gold coinage. The effigy is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, beyond which a wide annular field is decorated with multiple raised crosses and star-like symbols arranged around the circumference. A Greek legend reading ΒΑCIΛЄΥC (King) appears distributed within the outer field, interspersed among the crosses. The border is defined by a raised beaded ring, with additional ornamental elements at the periphery. The execution is characteristic of sixth-century Aksumite hammered gold technique, combining Christian symbolism with royal iconography. |
