| Obverse description | Central field depicts a rampant lion passant facing left, rendered in relief within a plain inner circle bordered by a beaded or cable ring. The circumferential legend ALBERTVS COMES runs around the periphery in uncial Latin characters, separated by small crosses or stops. The overall style is characteristic of late 13th-century Alpine hammered coinage, with bold if somewhat irregular die work. |
