| Descripción del anverso | A bold central cross divides the field into four quadrants, each filled with highly degenerate, pseudo-epigraphic letterforms derived from a corrupted episcopal legend. The inscription, reading SRVODBT EPIS, has degraded to the point where individual characters are barely legible, merging into abstract decorative elements surrounding the cross. The overall composition reflects the typical stylistic devolution of early medieval hammered coinage, where repeated die-copying has rendered the original lettering largely illegible. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck Pfennig production of the early eleventh century. |
