Obverse description The centre of the note is occupied by the tripartite coat of arms of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, set within an intricate guilloche underprint that covers the entire field. Denomination numerals '1/2' appear in circular vignettes at upper left and upper right. Multi-line bilingual issuing authority inscriptions in Cyrillic and Latin script run across the upper portion of the note, with the designer's signature 'M.Cl. Crnčić Fec.' rendered in the lower left margin.

Reverse description The reverse presents a plain, lightly printed field with the stylized monogram abbreviation of the state name rendered in Cyrillic script (СХС) to the left and in Latin script (SHS) to the right, flanking the central denomination inscription. The overall design is minimal, relying on fine-line guilloche work as a background security element.
